The Municipalité du Canton de Shefford wanted a multifunctional community hall to meet the community’s needs for events and entertainment. The municipality insisted on a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly building that would feature wood, ecology and energy savings.
The municipality awarded the contract to CJA to handle the civil, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering. This allowed us to optimize our efficiency, since the entire mandate could be carried out by a single team.
This project demonstrates CJA’s know-how when it comes to integrating wood into building structures to reduce its GHG footprint. It also demonstrates the environmental awareness of sustainable design, with a ventilation and air-conditioning system that uses state-of-the-art technology.
